The Big Blues Benefit for guitarist Jerry Miller will be this Sunday March 8th at the Swiss. Jerry was one of the victims of the dam release that swamped the city of Pacific. All he was able to save was a favorite guitar, an old amp and his dog. Jerry lost everything else - including everything he had collected and saved over his 40plus years in music. As a collector I truly understand how devastating this must be for him, and really for the world. Rock concert memorabilia, raw recordings of live shows, photos - all of one of Rolling Stones top 100 guitarists of all time. . . can you imagine what he might have had - and lost?

The benefit starts off at 3pm with one of my favorites - the Malcolm Clark Band. Malcolm is no stranger to the stage at the Swiss, and has even hosted a benefit there in the past. The lineup continues with Big Nasty, the Tim Hall Band, the Kim Archer Band (another of my favorites), the Jerry Miller Band and concludes with Jerry's All Star Jam.
There will be a raffle for 2 different guitars, both autographed by Jerry. Raffle tickets a mere $5. Suggested $10 donation at the door.
Great music, good food, good cause. Can't think of a better way to spend a Sunday evening.
